Gust... is no longer Gust
Apparently they are selling the company to Tecmo Koei. See here. Some suspect this is why the Ar tonelico series was ended. And also Tecmo is already planning changes for the Atelier series. Big changes. Oh yeah, this is gonna go over well. Now I'm down to one company that will for sure stick true to their roots with series'. And their stuff takes forever to get localized. I'm starting to think we've seen our last Atelier game over here once Mereru comes out next Spring. Or normal one at least since I've no idea what a "social game" is supposed to mean. MMO? God I hope not. This blows.

Hm, well, this bites for sure then. This effects every series that Gust is known for pretty much. And yeah, whatever changes these are can't be anything really good. Probably is why the Ar tonelico series ended. Definitely blows indeed.
As I already said in the forums, I really think that this is going to end badly for us, hence why I said in Hymmnos that the world we used to know has come to its end...
Mhmm, quite so. Yeah, I googled "social game" and any of the options that it could be quite frankly suck. I get the feeling the Gust brand will be basically there in name only if that is the case. Of course they did not rule out the possibility that normal Atelier games could still be done.
Yeah, I have to agree with you aqua-kun. I think this is the end for the Gust we know if Tecmo is planning on major changes like this already. The only thing that *might* live on is the Gust style of characters and possibly the music to a degree, but probably little else.
And then there's the deal they have with NISA... How long will that stand after this... Now all I've got to look forward to game wise is Idea Factory.
